Improve your marketing through social media and AI

In this session you will get hints and tips on how to enhance your marketing efforts using social media and use AI to improve your bakery social media presence.

Presenters:

Aiden Bradley is a social media expert and owner of Bradley’s Bakehouse. Aiden has had a professional background in social media platforms before taking on a career in baking. Now he is bringing the two together to share his knowledge with fellow bakery owners.

Mandy Hall has two decades of experience shaping some of Australia’s most iconic brands and is the Managing Director of Mayd, the brand and marketing agency behind MOI International’s outsourced in-house marketing team. Over the past three years, she and the team have helped refine and express the MOI brand to better reflect the heart of the business – its people, its culture, and the way it champions the bakery and foodservice industries every day.

Tony Smith, BAA Executive Officer will be talking about how many bakeries contact the baa for assistance and gauging the use of social media.

The crackdown on over production and waste

This session is all about bringing awareness to all bakeries about over production of baked goods, as well as highlighting the new EPA NSW guidelines on food wastage.

Presenters:

Carolyn Cameron has over 40 years experience in environmental and strategic planning, working with the mining industry, universities, state and national governments. After leaving the role of Senior Executive with the national Department of Environment in 2015, she has been a strategic consultant on complex environmental management projects, including for the past 4 years focussing on working with industry and governments to reduce food waste.

Stuart Kidd is a Perth entrepreneur, who co-founded Foody Bag. The app allows customers to purchase bags of food at a discount from local bakeries, cafes, and restaurants. Following the incredible success in Perth, Mr Kidd aims to expand to Victoria and New South Wales.
