The Baking Industry Trade Show

National Excellence in Baking Competition & Awards Night

Every year, apprentice bakers and pastry chefs from across Australia compete for the national title of Excellence in Baking.

The State Finalists will showcase their skills at the 2026 Baking Industry Trade Show on the Gold Coast, taking place from 16th – 17th June, for the highly sought-after title.

Once the State Finalists have showcased their skills at the National Excellence in Baking Competition, the winners of Champion Apprentice Baker and Champion Apprentice Pastry Chef will be announced at the Excellence in Baking Awards Night, famously known as A Night with the Champions!

The courtesy bus will be available to get you there and back to your comfy bed at the end of the night. Just remember to book.

Carolyn Cameron

Carolyn Cameron is Sector Action Plan Lead for End Food Waste Australia. She has over 40 years’ experience in environmental and strategic planning, working with the mining industry, universities, state and national governments. After leaving the role of Senior Executive with the national Department of Environment in 2015, she has been a strategic consultant on complex environmental management projects, including for the past 5 years focussing on working with industry and governments to reduce food waste.

Anton Duc

Anton was called to the bar in April 2015. He has a broad practice with a particular focus in employment and family law. Since being called to the bar, Anton has represented a wide variety of clients from corporations and individuals and not for profits. He is the BAA workplace and IR relations barrister.
