Governor presenting trophies

The Baking Association of Australia are proud to announce the Honourable Ms Linda Dessau AC, Governor of Victoria will be presenting the National Winners of Australia’s Best Pie & Pastie Competition.  

The industry competition is the pinnacle event, with more than 1700 pieces of product arriving during the 3 days of competition.  The judges work their way through pies & pasties from all over Australia.

With 16 categories, there is an array of flavours and creations.  Bakeries and Patisseries can only enter Pies and Pasties which are sold in their store.  The competition is supported by key industry allied traders and judged to an industry standard criteria used and recognised nationally.

Entering Australia’s Best Pie & Pastie Competition is a fantastic tool to promote your bakery business with the chance to receive one of these National Titles.  Both of these carry industry prestige and pride as they are conducted by the industry and are for the industry.

Plus there are numerous prizes totaling more than $20k in value.

Carolyn Cameron

Carolyn Cameron is Sector Action Plan Lead for End Food Waste Australia. She has over 40 years’ experience in environmental and strategic planning, working with the mining industry, universities, state and national governments. After leaving the role of Senior Executive with the national Department of Environment in 2015, she has been a strategic consultant on complex environmental management projects, including for the past 5 years focussing on working with industry and governments to reduce food waste.

Anton was called to the bar in April 2015. He has a broad practice with a particular focus in employment and family law. Since being called to the bar, Anton has represented a wide variety of clients from corporations and individuals and not for profits. He is the BAA workplace and IR relations barrister.
